Obed R. Lewis

 

 

            Obed R. Lewis, 64, of Finleyville passed away Monday, August 10, 2015 at his home, surrounded by his loving family,after a courageous battle with leukemia.

            He was born September 2, 1950 in New Eagle; a son of Obed D. and Mary ‘Dolly’ Hart Lewis.

            Mr. Lewis was employed as a service manager with Terminix International in Bridgeville and had been an officer with the former Union Township Police Department.

            He was an avid Pittsburgh Sports fan.

            Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his wife, Barbara Banahasky Lewis; a son, Obed R. Lewis, Jr. and his wife Jenny of Dayton, OH; a daughter, Tonya Myers and her husband Paul ‘P.J.’ of Bentleyville; a brother, Larry Lewis (Vickie) of Finleyville; a grandson, Obed R. ‘Thrice’ Lewis, III; several nieces and nephews; and his loyal dog ‘Bella’.

            Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Thursday at Kegel Funeral Home, Inc., Tim P. Kegel, supervisor, David P. Kegel, director, 3560 Washington Avenue, Finleyville, where services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 14, 2015.  Interment will follow in Finleyville Cemetery.  Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of one’s choice.  Condolences to kegelfuneralhome.com.
