William E. ‘Bill’ Lash

 

 

            William E. ‘Bill’ Lash, 87, of Finleyville died peacefully on Saturday, May 7, 2016 in Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Jefferson Hills Borough.

            He was born March 22, 1929 in Venetia; a son of Charles and Rosa Fincham Lash.

            Mr. Lash was retired as a foreman with Columbia Gas Company in Bethel Park.

            He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was a member of American Legion Post 613 in Finleyville and the Hackett Club.

            Surviving are his wife, Faye Mays Lash; two sons; four daughters; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three step-children; six step-grandchildren; five sisters; and many nieces and nephews.

            At the request of the deceased there will be no public visitation.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 13, 2016 at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Cecil Township with Reverend Richards Roberts officiating and full military honors accorded by Mon Valley Honor Guard and Firing Squad.

            Memorial contributions can be made to Wright’s United Methodist Church, 788 Venetia Road, Venetia, PA 15367.

            Arrangements are under the direction of Kegel Funeral Home, Inc., Tim P. Kegel, supervisor, David P. Kegel, director, in Finleyville.  Condolences to kegelfuneralhome.com.
