Jean P. Patterson, 69, of Moore, South Carolina, died Friday, March 8, 2024 surrounded by family at the Spartanburg Regional Medical Center Hospice House. Her long battle with Lupus ended, she passed peacefully. She was born December 4, 1954, in Monongahela, Pennsylvania, the youngest daughter of the late Michael and Irene Petruskie. She unknowingly met her everlasting love in seventh grade and made a lifetime of dear memories with Keith and all of her family and friends.
Jean was in the first class a new major, computer science, and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1976, trained to break ground as a computer programmer in a new industry. She was an officer in AmiCon Computer Group in Columbus Ohio and spent over 40 years training people of all ages to use the technology she loved. She was a detailed and artistic old soul and carried her strong work ethic and perfectionism to all areas of her life. Sewing, embroidery, and quilting were a few of her favorite passions, making her own prom and wedding dresses, along with special items for all of her special people. She always was working on a project, and organizing it all exactly the way she wanted it.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years Raymond Keith Patterson, her son; Chris (JoAnna) Patterson of Loves Park, IL, and her beloved grandson; Michael Robert. She is also survived by her brother; Michael (late Diana) Petruskie of N. Versailles, PA and numerous nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her parents are her three siblings: Ruth (Tom) Martin, Leonard Petruskie and Virginia Petruskie.
You are warmly invited to celebrate her life with her family. Visitation will be held from 1-3 and 5-7 pm Wednesday, March 13 at Kegel Funeral Home, Inc., 3560 Washington Ave Finleyville. Funeral services will begin 11am Thursday March 14 in the funeral home, with interment following at Fairview Cemetery.
