Anna Mae Cushey

            Anna Mae Cushey, 73, of Venetia died Friday, December 11, 2020 at UPMC-Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh.

            She was born June 20, 1947 in New Eagle; a daughter of Marie Lafferty Bateson of Venetia and the late George Bateson.

            Anna Mae was retired from Peters Township School District where she had been employed as a secretary at the high school for many years as well as being very involved with the school’s band boosters.

            She was a member of Peters Creek United Presbyterian Church in Venetia and Peters Township High School Class of 1965.

            Anna Mae was a loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family.

            On Aril 13, 1968 she married Allen J. Cushey, who survives.

            Also surviving, in addition to her mother, are three daughters, Christina Foth (John) of Oakdale, Amy Nebel (Kevin) of Warroad, MN and Becky Bruce (Brian) of Avella; a brother, George L. Bateson of Venetia; five grandchildren, Ashlee, Alexis, Colin, Jack and Kaitlyn; and several nieces and nephews.

            Due to current condition, visitation and services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

            Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of one’s choice.

            Arrangements are under the direction of Kegel Funeral Home, Inc. in Finleyville.
