Anthony Battaglia

            Anthony Battaglia, 92, of Finleyville passed away peacefully on Monday, December 2, 2019 at his home.

            He was born April 13, 1927 in Pittsburgh; a son of Frank and Vincenja Ortenja Battaglia.

            Mrs. Battaglia was retired as a laborer for Pittsburgh Outdoor Advertising Company.

He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Finleyville, Knights of Columbus and the Italian Club in Finleyville.

            Surviving are his wife, Sara McPherson Battaglia; a son, Gary Battaglia (Victoria) of the state of Washington; a daughter, Cindy Spridik (Mark) of Jefferson Hills; a brother, Joseph Battaglia of Bethel Park; two grandchildren; one great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

            Deceased are two brothers, August and Thomas Battaglia, and a sister, Mary Saeli.

            At the request of the deceased there will be no public visitation.

            A memorial service will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Kegel Funeral Home, Inc., 3560 Washington Avenue, Finleyville, PA  15332.

            Private inurnment will be held at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in McMurray.
