Benjamin “Ben” Lewis Sr.

            Benjamin “Ben” Lewis Sr., 90, of Finleyville, died Sunday June 27, 2021 at home.

He was born March 29, 1931, in Venetia, a son of the late Obed T. and Eleanor Patton Lewis.

            Ben was retired as a heavy equipment mechanic with the former Victor Dosse Contracting Corporation in Venetia.  He was a member of Wrights UM Church in Venetia and was an avid auto racing fan.

            Surviving are his son; Benjamin (Deborah) Lewis Jr. of Finleyville, a daughter; Earlene (Dennis) Pigford of Latrobe, a sister; Charlene Jones of Nebraska, six grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

            Deceased are three brothers; Colin, Bill and Obed D. Lewis and three sisters; Erma Orndoff, Marie Rhodes and Vena Mae Stilley.

            Friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 Wednesday June 30 at Kegel Funeral Home Inc. 3560 Washington Avenue in Finleyville. Funeral services will be held 11am Thursday July 1 in the funeral home with Pastor Ken Barner officiating. Private interment will be held in Mon Valley Memorial Park.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Washington Area Humane Society PO Box 66 Eighty-Four PA 15330 or to a charity of one’s choice.
