Brenda Gump-Schragl, 66, of South Park, passed away Sunday March 23, 2025.
She was born September 20, 1958, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Daniel Boscia and Elizabeth VanVoohris Amato (Jim), who survives.
Brenda previously worked for Carry All Provisions as a secretary, was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Finleyville, enjoyed making beaded jewelry and was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, especially the Steelers. To Brenda, her world revolved around her children and grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband Keith Schragl, two sons; Richard (Lisa) Gump and Dan (Lauren) Gump both of Finleyville, three daughters; Dana (Jason) Kirchner of South Park, Rachel (Matt) Haid of New Eagle and Hailey (Tyler) Walsh of Dormont, seven grandchildren; Colby, Carly, Mason, Henry, Adalyn, Easton, Logan and one grandchild on the way, two brothers; Daniel and Phillip Boscia, one sister; Rebecca Fawcett, one stepbrother; Joe Amato and a large extended family.
Deceased is her first husband Richard Gump.
Visitation will be held 6-8pm Wednesday and 2-4 and 6-8pm Thursday in Kegel Funeral Home, Inc. David P. Kegel, Supervisor 3560 Washington Avenue Finleyville. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Friday in St. Francis of Assisi Church (St. John XXIII Parish), Everyone is asked to go directly to the church, with interment following in Mingo Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
