Cecil Fitch Jr.

Cecil Fitch Jr., 97, of Eighty Four, passed away Monday July 15, 2024 in UPMC Washington Hospital.

He was born April 12, 1927, in Venetia, a son of the late Cecil and Sarah Fitch.

Cecil was retired from U.S. Steel Clairton Works where he worked as a Control Room Operator.  He was a member of Wright’s UM Church in Venetia, served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was an avid fisherman and hunter.

Surviving are his son; Jeff (Carol Jean) Fitch of New Eagle, daughter; Sandy (late Charles “Chuck”) Konton of Eighty Four, six grandchildren: Jill, Julie, Chad, Nichole, Melissa and Shawn, nine great grandchildren; Nathan, Noah, Ben, Kylie, Tyler, Savannah, Hunter, Chase and Ryker, and his longtime companion Lois Antion.

Deceased are his wife Mary Lou Fitch, one brother; Bob Fitch and two sisters; Dorothy Jean Singer and Shirley Gaspich.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8pm Thursday in Kegel Funeral Home, Inc. David P. Kegel, Supervisor 3560 Washington Avenue Finleyville.  Funeral Services will begin 11am Friday in the Funeral Home with interment following in Finleyville Cemetery.  Memorial donations can be made to Wright’s UM Church 788 Venetia Rd.
