Charles Zukauckas, 97, of Finleyville, passed away peacefully Tuesday June 4, 2024 in his home.
He was born February 10, 1927 in Finleyville, a son of the late Jonas and Mary Molo Zukauckas
Charles was retired from CONSOL Energy where he worked as a Long Wall Man in the coal mines. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Finleyville and enjoyed bowling and hunting.
Surviving are one son; Charles (Dory) Zukauckas of Monongahela, three daughters; Theresa (Al) Chorney of Erie, Charlene Smith of Bridgeville and Joan (Ray) Meucci of McMurray, ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and one brother Walter Zukauckas of Monongahela
Deceased are his wife, Willa Mae “Widge” Zukauckas
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8pm Thursday in Kegel Funeral Home, Inc. David P. Kegel, Supervisor 3560 Washington Avenue Finleyville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am Friday in St. Francis of Assisi Church (St. John XXIII Parish) with interment following in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
