Charles “Scotty” Crayton, 100, of Finleyville, passed away Friday September 5, 2025, in Concordia of Bridgeville.
He was born July 11, 1925, in Weston, WV, a son of the late John and Emma Crayton.
Scotty retired from Equitable Gas Company in Pittsburgh where he worked as a Gas Controller. He served in the US Marine Corps during World War II and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Finleyville and a life member of the Finleyville Volunteer Fire Department, holding many positions including Fire Chief.
Surviving are two sons; Richard “Scotty II” (Joyce) Crayton of Bradenton Fl and Jack Crayton of Finleyville, eleven grandchildren, several great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, son in law Tom Martys, daughter in law Marian Crayton, niece Sherry Trainum and many other nieces and nephews.
Deceased are his first wife; Cora Crayton, second wife; Ruth Crayton, daughter; Judy Martys, brother; William and sister; Mary Margaret.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8pm Friday September 12th in Kegel Funeral Home, Inc., David P. Kegel, Supervisor 3560 Washington Avenue Finleyville, where funeral services will begin at 11am Saturday September 13th with interment following in Finleyville Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the Finleyville Volunteer Fire Department 3562 Washington Avenue Finleyville, PA 15332
