Donald Matthews

Donald William Matthews, 56, of Jefferson Boro, PA, passed away on May 16, 2024, at AGH Pittsburgh Northside, after an arduous battle with colon cancer.

Don was born September 26, 1967 to Raymond and Doris Matthews of Finleyville. He was a 1985 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School.

Leaving behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Terry Klemm Matthews, of Elizabeth, his daughter, Kayla Matthews of Jefferson Boro and a stepdaughter, Kara Shanko Etwaroo (Sean) of Hollywood, FL. Siblings Timothy Matthews (Sherry) of Monessen, Denise Konton (George) of Finleyville, Emma Nesbitt of Zelienople and Thomas Matthews of Finleyville along with many nieces, nephews and friends, fondly feel the loss of a kind and easygoing soul.

Don retired from Baldwin Whitehall School District as a mechanic for their bus fleet. He could maintain, repair and build any kind of motor or engine. He enjoyed collecting toys, model trains and equipment, tools and motorcycles. Every fall, his trips to Carlisle and Hershey Car Meets brought an adventure to search for new treasures.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Kegel Funeral Home, 3560 Washington Avenue, Finleyville from 3 to 7 pm. Remembrance Service will begin at 7pm.

Donations in his honor may be made of your individual choosing. Rest in peace, dear Donald, you will always be in our hearts and memories.
