Donald W. Welsbacher
Donald W. Welsbacher, 88, of Eighty Four, Nottingham Township, died Sunday, June 24, 2018 at TownView Health Center in Canonsburg.
He was born January 29, 1930 in Pittsburgh; a son of Anthony and Eleanor Desoi Welsbacher.
Mr. Welsbacher was retired as an electrician with the former LTV Steel Corporation in Pittsburgh.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of St. Benedict the Abbott Church in McMurray and American Legion Post 613 in Finleyville.
Surviving is a son, Scott Welsbacher and his wife Pam of Eighty Four; two brothers, Lawrence Welsbacher of Eighty Four and Norbert Welsbacher of Carrick; a sister, Jean Karwowski of Pleasant Hills; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are his wife, Dolores ‘Dee’ Welsbacher, who died in April of 2011; three brothers and a sister.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Thursday at Kegel Funeral Home, Inc., Tim P. Kegel, supervisor, David P. Kegel, director, 3560 Washington Avenue, Finleyville, where a blessing service will be held at 8:00 P.M. Thursday, June 28, 2018. Private interment will be held in Queen of Heaven Cemetery in McMurray. Memorial contributions can be made to Washington Area Humane society, P.O. Box 66, Eighty Four, PA 15330.
