Donald J. Lenik,77, of Glen Burnie Maryland, formerly of South Park, died Thursday
August 31,2023.
He was born October 12, 1945, in New Eagle, a son of the late Joseph and Anna Mae
Hays Lenik Sr.
Don retired from Ametek where he worked as a Production Supervisor. After retirement,
he drove a school bus which he really loved. Don was a veteran of the US Army serving during
Vietnam War. He was an avid hunter who enjoyed going to Idaho with his family. He also
enjoyed going to the beach and sitting outside in the sun.
Surviving are his children; one son; DJ (Daughter-in-Law to be Bre) Lenik of Finleyville,
two daughters; Shelley (Gregg) Atkinson and Donna (Dave) Arnold both of Glen Burnie, MD,
eight grandchildren; Katlyn, Samantha, Zachary, Mikayla, Olivia, Adrik, Kavan and Levi, two
great grandchildren, siblings; Joseph (Jeanne) Lenik of Library, Patricia (Walter) Willoughby of
Mt. Lebanon, Ronald (Faith) Lenik of Finleyville, Sherry Lenik of Bethel Park, Robert and
David Lenik both of Finleyville, and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to his parents is his grandson, Jake Lanin.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8pm Monday in Kegel Funeral Home, Inc. David
P. Kegel 3560 Washington Ave Finleyville. Funeral services will be held 11am Tuesday in
Library Baptist Church 81 Walter Long Rd Finleyville (Everyone please meet at church) with
interment following in Finleyville Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to St. Jude
Childrens Research Hospital.
