Donald R. Morris, 78, of Finleyville, PA, passed away on June 16, 2023, surrounded by his loving wife and children.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Beth Keeney Morris, 3 children, Amy Racunas (Robert), Allison Rohrbaugh (Troy), and Donnie, and 5 grandchildren, Ellie, Emma, and Audrey Racunas, and Avery and Austin Rohrbaugh.
Don was born on May 30, 1945 to Hallet Leroy and Mary Hansen Morris of Elizabeth, PA. Don is a 1963 alumnus of Elizabeth Forward High School and received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Physical Education from California University of PA.
The youngest of five children, Don was preceded in death by Norma Jean Morris Weston, Leroy, William, and Robert.
Don was a dedicated teacher, coach, small business owner, probation officer, and DUI coordinator. Many people know Don from the proud years he spent at the helm of The Locker Room – a sporting goods store in Charleroi, PA. He loved supporting youth athletics and community events.
Above all, Don was a devoted husband, father, and friend. He and Mary Beth cherished every athletic event, dance recital, and band gig or performance of their children and grandchildren. Don seemed to know someone everywhere he went. His huge personality and gift for friendly conversation made it hard to walk away from him without becoming his friend.
He loved to golf, watch the ocean waves, listen to Doo-Wop music, care for his yard, play with his dogs, and tell his friends all about his children and grandchildren.
