Edward F. ‘Bud’ Williams, Sr.
Edward F. ‘Bud’ Williams, Sr., 95, of Jefferson Hills, died Friday, December 1, 2017 at Southwestern Nursing Center in West Mifflin.
He was born November 20, 1922 in Triadelphia, WV; a son of Edward and Clara Bowers Williams.
Mr. Williams was retired as a laborer from the former Mississippi Glass Company in Floreffe.
He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was Protestant by faith.
Surviving are his son, Edward Williams, Jr. and his wife Mary Lou of Cochranville, PA; a brother, Henry Bowers of Mt. Morris; a sister, Gladys Luznar of Broughton; two grandchildren, Edward Williams III and Lauren Stanton; two great grandchildren, Lillian and Bennett; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased are his wife, Gladys Cole Williams, who died in April of 2002; three brothers, Richard Williams and Will and Dave Bowers; and a sister, Ruthann Garry.
Friends will be received on Friday, December 8, 2017 from 10 until 11:30 A.M., the time of services with Pastor Kevin Young officiating, at Kegel Funeral Home, Inc., Tim P. Kegel, supervisor, David P. Kegel, director, 3560 Washington Avenue, in Finleyville. Interment will follow in Finleyville Cemetery with full military honors accorded by Mon Valley Honor Guard and Firing Squad. Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
