Eleanor R. Emerick

            Eleanor R. Emerick, 85, of McMurray, died Friday August 20, 2021 at Manor Care of Peters Township.

She was born May 8, 1936 in Alverda PA, a daughter of the late Doyle and Jessie Stuby Joiner.

Eleanor was a former school teacher in the Bethel Park School district.  She was a member of View Crest Presbyterian Church in Eighty-Four where she played piano.  She enjoyed painting and volunteered with Meals on Wheels in Peters Township.

Surviving are her husband; Alvie Emerick, two sons; Carl(Linda) Emerick of Mt. Lebanon and Curt (Kari) Emerick of Scott Township, a daughter;  Susan (Lewis) Colosimo of Canonsburg, ten grandchildren; Christopher, Stephen, Mark, Joe, Jonathan, Olivia, Nathan, Ben, Robbie and Jiaxian, a brother; Lynn Joiner, two sisters; Dorothy Meyers and Lucille Kuzemchak, and many nieces and nephews.

Deceased are three brothers and one sister.

Friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8pm Monday August 23 at Kegel Funeral Home Inc. David P Kegel, Supervisor, 3560 Washington Avenue in Finleyville.  Funeral services will be held 11am Tuesday August 24 in the Funeral Home.  Private interment will be held in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
