Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Cushey
Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Cushey, 94, of Finleyville died Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Consulate Healthcare of North Strabane Township surrounded by her loving family.
She was born July 24, 1921 in Jefferson Borough, Allegheny County; a daughter of William and Mabel Ferree Bonner.
Mrs. Cushey was a homemaker and a great cook and baker who loved playing cards and bingo.
She was a member of Wright’s United Methodist Church in Venetia.
Surviving are two sons, Allen Cushey and his wife Anna Mae of Venetia and Gary Cushey and his wife Pam of McDonald; a daughter, Marleen Dudjak of Bethel Park; five grandchildren, Christina Crawford, Amy Nebel (Kevin), Becky Bruce (Brian), Sarah Kreefer (Sean) and David Cushey; four great grandchildren, Ashlee and Alexis Crawford, Colin Nebel and Kaitlyn Bruce; two sisters-in-law, Betty Vigliotti and Beverly Cushey; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Deceased is her husband, John ‘Red” Cushey Jr., who died in October of 2007, three brothers, Russell and Billy Bonner and Kenneth McGrew; a sister, Jean Crandall, and a son-in-law, Ronald Dudjak.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at Kegel Funeral Home, Inc., Tim P. Kegel, supervisor, David P. Kegel, director, 3560 Washington Avenue, Finleyville, where services will be held at 12:00 noon, Wednesday, December 23, 2015 with Reverend Richard Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in Finleyville Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Finleyville Volunteer Fire Department, 3562 Washington Avenue, Finleyville, PA 15332.
