Ellen E. Brawdy

 

 

            Ellen E. Brawdy, 68, of Finleyville died Monday, December 25, 2017 at her home after a twelve year battle with ovarian cancer.

            She was born July 31, 1949 in New Eagle; a daughter of the late Hugh ‘Bud’ and Reva Orndoff Murray.

            Ellen was employed as a realtor with Century 21 VanVoorhis and Frontier Realities in Finleyville and previously was co-owner of the former Town & Country Saloon in Finleyville.

            She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Legion Post 613 and Women of the Moose, both in Finleyville, and enjoyed golfing, traveling, and spending time with friends.

            Surviving are her best friend and companion, Lenny Patton; a brother, William ‘Bones’ Murray of West Newton; four nephews; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

            Deceased is a son, Ryan Brawdy, who died in October of 2013.

            Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Friday at Kegel Funeral Home, Inc., Tim P. Kegel, supervisor, David P. Kegel, director, 3560 Washington Avenue, Finleyville, where services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 30, 2017.  Interment will follow in Finleyville Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Catholic Hospice & Palliative Services, 2605 Nicholson Road, Suite 3240, Sewickley, PA  15143.
