Esther Kirchner Flick
Esther Kirchner Flick, 92, of Finleyville died Monday, July 9, 2018, at the home of her friend in McDonald, after a twenty-four yearlong battle with breast cancer
She was born August 14, 1925 in England; a daughter of Frank and Mildred Bayley Jones.
Mrs. Flick was retired as a secretary at Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh.
She was a member of St. David’s Episcopal Church in McMurray, where she was active in both the choir and youth choir programs, and was an avid animal lover.
Surviving is a sister, Janet Steele of Australia; a niece, Abigail Jones of Wales; a goddaughter, Courtney Friedel of Tampa, FL; her close friend Erin Janiak of McDonald and many members and friends Esther considered her extended family.
Deceased is her husband, James Flick, who died in July, 2016.
At the request of the deceased there will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, July 16, 2018 at St. David’s Episcopal Church in McMurray with inurnment following in Finleyville Cemetery.
