Evelyn M. Volk, 88, of Finleyville passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at The Residence at Hilltop in Carroll Township.
She was born August 19, 1930 in Duquesne; a daughter of George and Mary Fedorko Perich.
Mrs. Volk was a homemaker and a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Monongahela.
Surviving are a son, Charles Volk, Jr. and his wife Bonnie of Finleyville; a daughter, Charlene Richards and her husband Scott of Finleyville; two grandchildren, Christopher (Jackie) and Ashley (James); two great grandchildren, Konner and Kloie; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is her husband, Charles ‘Chuck’ Volk, Sr., who died in May of 2017.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Friday at Kegel Funeral Home, Inc., Tim P. Kegel, supervisor, David P. Kegel, director, 3560 Washington Avenue in Finleyville. Panachida Services will be celebrated at 7:00 P.M. Friday evening at the funeral home. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 11:30 A.M. Saturday, September 8, 2018 at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Monongahela with the Very Reverend Edward Pehanich as celebrant. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to The Residence at Hilltop, 210 Route 837, Monongahela, PA 15063.
