Frank J. Ali
Frank J. Ali, 91, of Finleyville died Sunday, October 2, 2016 at his home.
He was born September 21, 1925 in Ellwood City; a son of Louis and Concetta D’Alessandro Ali.
Mr. Ali was retired as a union carpenter with Local 142 in Pittsburgh.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII and was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Finleyville.
Mr. Ali enjoyed woodworking, bowling, golfing and playing cards with his friends.
Surviving are his wife, Bernice DeAngelis Ali; a son, L. Frank Ali of Finleyville; five daughters, Kathleen Davidovich (Dan) of Leesburg, FL, Kristine Cacciotti (Ralph) of McDonald, Michele Watson of Washington, Dianna Tosi-Corridoni (Barry) of Monongahela and Denise Frauens (Dan) of West Elizabeth; two sisters, Annamarie Kragnes of Bethel Park and Dolores Magulick of Lawrence; thirteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at Kegel Funeral Home, Inc., Tim P. Kegel, supervisor, David P. Kegel, director, 3560 Washington Avenue, in Finleyville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 A.M. Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at St. Francis Church, Finleyville, with Reverend Robert J. Boyle as celebrant. Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township, with full military honors accorded by Mon Valley Honor Guard and Firing Squad.
