Gail Hunter Marmie
Gail H. Marmie, 81, formerly of Monessen, died Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Jefferson Hills Borough.
She was born Gail Maurine Hunter on September 18, 1935 in Monessen; a daughter of Francis and Laverda Clingerman Hunter.
Gail was a retired administrative assistant with both the Duquesne Light Company and Steel Recycling in Pittsburgh. During her employment with the Duquesne Light Company she was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
She was a 1975 graduate of California University (formerly known as the California Teachers College). She had been a member of the First Christian Church in Monessen and later joined the Lynnwood Lutheran Church along with her children.
Surviving are a son, Timothy Marmie (Sherri Taddeo) of Monongahela; three daughters, Betsy Sedney (Robert) of McMurray, Amy Krug (Jeffrey) of Presto and Nancy Hamilton (Alan) of Monongahela; a brother, Floyd Holroyd of Sarasota, FL; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
There will be no public visitation. A graveside service will be held at Grandview Cemetery in Monessen at a later date.
