Glenn A. Shoemaker

 

 

            Glenn A. “Punk” Shoemaker, 65, of Finleyville died Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Jefferson Hills Borough.

            He was born January 16, 1952 in Gill Hall; a son of Luella Werner Shoemaker of Huntington, PA and the late James Shoemaker.

            Mr. Shoemaker was employed as an operator with Union Township Road District.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of Elrama Sportsman’s Club and Appalachian Wagon Trains Association.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are a son, Jed Shoemaker (Nicole Bondi) of Finleyville; two daughters, Sara Shoemaker (Thomas Brown) of Acme and Jessi Shoemaker of Crested Butte, CO; six brothers, seven sisters, two grandchildren, Alexis and Dean; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Monday, May 1, 2017 from 1-3 P.M., the time of services with Pastor Brent Furlong officiating, at Kegel Funeral Home, Inc., Tim P. Kegel, supervisor, David P. Kegel, director, 3560 Washington Avenue, in Finleyville.  Condolences to kegelfuneralhome.com.
