Joan Marie Owens

            Joan Marie Owens, 85, of Finleyville died Friday, September 13, 2019 at The Residence at Hilltop in Carroll Township.

            She was born June 25, 1934 in Pittsburgh; a daughter of Albert and Elizabeth Lesik Krieger.

            Mrs. Owens, along with her late husband, Paul R. Owens, Sr., who died in May of 2017, owned and operated the former PRO Cleaners in McMurray and the former Value Cleaners Finleyville.

            She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Finleyville.

            Surviving are five children, Joan Waxman (Rocky) of South Park, David Owens (Debra) of South Park, Donald Owens (Marybeth) of Westerville, OH, Diane Lucci of Finleyville and Thomas Owens (Lisa) of Finleyville; a brother, Raymond Krieger of Reno, NV; two sons-in-law, Nicholas Levinsky and Donald Henze, Jr., both of Finleyville; a daughter-in-law Carolyn Owens of Cheswick; sixteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

            Deceased, in addition to her husband, are a son, Paul Owens, Jr., two daughters, Kathleen Levinsky and Karen Henze, a brother, Albert Krieger, and a grandson, Ryan William Owens.

            Friends will be received from 4-8 P.M. Friday at Kegel Funeral Home, Inc., Tim P. Kegel, supervisor, David P. Kegel, director, 3560 Washington Avenue, in Finleyville.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 A.M. Saturday, September 21, 2019 at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Finleyville. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Monongahela.  Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105.
