John S. Barcala, 93, of Finleyville, died Sunday august 13, 2023 in Overlook Green Senior Living.
He was born May 22, 1930 in Pittsburgh a son of the late John and Mary Buchko Barcala.
John was retired from Dravo in Pittsburgh where he worked in the chemical instrumentation field. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Finleyville, enjoyed woodworking, tinkering and could fix everything that was broken.
Surviving are one son; John (Dawn) Barcala of Monongahela, two daughters; Laura Burgess of South Park and Maria (David) Rapp of Monongahela, four grandchildren; Nina, David, Natalia and Victoria, great granddaughter Scarlette, one sister; Nancy Zamborsky of Baldwin, two nephews and one niece.
Deceased are his wife Joanne Barcala and sister Mary Alice Barcala
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8pm Thursday in Kegel Funeral Home, Inc. David P. Kegel, Supervisor 3560 Washington Ave Finleyville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am Friday in St. Francis of Assisi Church of St. John XXIII Parish 3609 Washington Ave Finleyville. Interment will follow in Finleyville Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
