John F. Smolick
John F. Smolick, 95, of Finleyville died Monday, June 12, 2017 at The Residence at Hilltop in Carroll Township.
He was born August 2, 1921 in Elizabeth; a son of Joseph and Frances Maklutz Smolick.
Mr. Smolick was retired as an auto body technician with South Hills Auto Service in Baldwin.
He served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
Surviving are his wife, Nora Orndoff Smolick; a son, Reverend Terry Smolick and his wife Diane of Charleroi; a sister, Stella Ripple of New Eagle; a granddaughter, Tara Smolick; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased are four sisters, Helen Smail, Genevieve Velmer, Wanda Metz and Emma Love.
Friends will be received from 4-7 P.M. Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Kegel Funeral Home, Inc., Tim P. Kegel, supervisor, David P. Kegel, director, 3560 Washington Avenue, in Finleyville. Private interment will be held in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Memorial contributions can be made to American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205.
