Leanna C. Schafer

            Leanna C. Schafer, 98, of Eighty-Four, died Wednesday February 9, 2022.

She was born July 17, 1923 in Nottingham Township, a daughter of the late Lee Roy and Eva Bell Thomas

            Leanna was a homemaker and was a dealer for Tupperware for 35 years. . She was a member of Thomas Presbyterian Church, Nottingham Farm Women, 80 year member of North Strabane Grange and served as Nottingham Township Judge of Elections for 50 years She enjoyed baking buns, embroidery and spending time with her family.

            Surviving are three sons; Phillip (Sarah) Schafer of Eighty Four, Lee (Laura) Schafer of Eighty Four, and Thomas (Temmy) Schafer of Amity, two daughters; Cheryle (Tom) Walton and Teralyn “Terri” Schmidt (Barry Ford)  both of Eighty-Four, eleven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, two great-great grandsons on the way and many nieces and nephews.

            Deceased are her husband; H. Arthur Schafer, three sisters; Eleanor, Virginia and Freda, grandson Andrew and great-great grandson Jackson.

            Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8pm Sunday in Kegel Funeral Home, David P. Kegel, Supervisor 3560 Washington Ave, Finleyville.  Funeral services will be held 11am Monday in Thomas Presbyterian Church, 1068 Linden Rd Eighty Four Pa 15330.  Everyone please meet at the church. Interment will follow in Forrest Lawn Gardens.  Memorial donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
