Lois M. (Woistman) Obringer
Lois M. (Woistman) Obringer, 87, of Eighty Four, a strong, stubborn independent little lady who fought a courageous battle until heaven opened its doors to welcome her on Monday May 16, 2022 She was born November 29, 1934 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late William and Cecilia Grabowski Woistman.
Lois was retired as bookkeeper with Millers Ace Hardware. She was a compassionate, giving lady whose baking skills will be greatly missed. She was an avid reader, who was able to critique and discuss literature with her church book club for over 20 years. When asked how she was doing, a reply of “fine and dandy” meant the world was good. Lois was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Finleyville and its Ladies of Charity, Ladies Guild, book club and Christian Mothers. “Alright, now rest in peace mom, gramma, Gma!”
Surviving are two sons, Michael Obringer of Eighty Four and Leonard (Terri) Obringer of Carnegie, two daughters; Karen (Shawn) Mathianas of Beaver and Christine (David) Ambler of Wharton, NJ, five grandchildren; Joshua (Donn), Ashley, Adam, Ashleigh (Roman) and Benjamin, one great grandson Jayme and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are her Husband, James W. Obringer and sister Dolores Luft.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8pm Sunday in Kegel Funeral Home, Inc. David P. Kegel, Supervisor 3560 Washington Ave, Finleyville. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am Monday in St. Francis of Assis Church (St. John XXIII Parish) 3609 Washington Ave, Finleyville. Interment will be private in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Washington Area Humane Society 1527 PA 136 Eighty-Four PA 15330
