Lorraine Jones

Lorraine Jones, 93, of Finleyville, passed away Thursday December 12, 2024, at The Sheridan of Bethel Park.

She was born July 11, 1931, in Venetia, a daughter of the late John and Clara Volkar.

Lorraine retired from Paul Jones Nationwide Insurance where she worked as an administrative assistant. She also ran her own company, Applegate Woodcraft, for many years. She was a member of Crossroads Ministries in Finleyville where she was very active in all aspects, especially giving to the Church Mission.  Her greatest joy in life was her family and making her home a place of welcome to everyone she knew and even those she didn’t.  Her nurturing and giving traits made her special to all she knew and loved.

Surviving are one son; Mark (Pati) Jones of Lakeland, Fl, four daughters; Janice (Joseph) Stowers of Tampa, Fl, Deborah Calendar of Punxsutawney, Judith (Robie Moorehouse) of Paynesville, Oh and Johanna (Rob) Ewing of Bethel Park, twelve grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, one great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, both on the way.

Deceased are her husband Paul Jones, one grandson: Mark McGinnis, three sisters and four brothers.

A Memorial Service will be held 11am Saturday January 11, 2025 in Crossroads Ministries 81 Walter Long Road Finleyville, PA 15332.  Memorial donations can be made to the Church Mission Fund at the above address. Arrangements have been entrusted to Kegel Funeral Home, Inc.
