Margie R. Shafron

            Margie R. Shafron, 88, of Elrama died Monday, September 18, 2017 in the emergency room at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Jefferson Hills Borough.

            She was born February 25, 1929 in Library; a daughter of Elias and Maria Kozar Bishop.

            Mrs. Shafron was a homemaker.

            Surviving are her husband, Nick Shafron; a son, Barry Shafron (Nanette) of Jefferson Hills; a daughter, Marcia Shafron Mattes of Venetia; two grandsons, Nicholas and Tyler Mattes; three nieces, Karen Fincham, Vicki O’Neil and Carol Jean Siler; a nephew, Dennis Elko; and her best pal ‘Lizzy’.

            Mrs. Shafron was the last surviving sibling of her family.  Deceased are three brothers and three sisters.

            Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Friday at Kegel Funeral Home, Inc., Tim P. Kegel, supervisor, David P. Kegel, director, 3560 Washington Avenue, Finleyville, where funeral services will be held at 9:30 A.M. Saturday, September 23, 2017 with the Very Reverend Edward Pehanich officiating.  Interment will follow in Finleyville Cemetery.
