Mary C. Fries

 

 

            Mary C. Fries, 75, of Finleyville died Sunday, October 30, 2016 at her home.

            She was born December 8, 1940 in Avella; a daughter of Michael and Helen Samborsky Thur.

            Mrs. Fries was a homemaker and a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Finleyville.

                 Surviving are two sons, George Fries, Jr. (Mary) of Washington and Michael Fries of Pittsburgh; four daughters, Debbie Vaccaro-Frederick (David) of Donora, Theresa Sebolt of Finleyville, Mary Kay Petrelli (Ron) of West Mifflin, and Michelle Waterman (Will) of Bethel Park; a brother, John Thur of Avella; three sisters, Helen Thur-Gualt and Susan Thur, both of Avella and Ann DiCola of Pittsburgh; sixteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

            Deceased are her husband, George J. Fries, who died in March of 2003, and a brother, Michael Thur.

            Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Wednesday at Kegel Funeral Home, Inc., Tim P. Kegel, supervisor, David P. Kegel, director, 3560 Washington Avenue, in Finleyville.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, November 3, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Finleyville, with Reverend Robert J. Boyle as celebrant.  Interment will follow in Finleyville Cemetery.
