Mary Kriston

On July 14th, 2025, our hearts were immensely broken by the unbearable loss of our sweet, amazing, loving, blessed momma, Maria (Mary, Muddy, Aunt Minnie) Terese Kriston of Finleyville, daughter of the late Candida and Pietro Caliguri of Calabria, Italy. Our momma is now peacefully resting in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and is forever walking hand in hand with her devoted husband Richard. She is preceded in death by her siblings: brothers - Guiseppe and Franco and sisters: - Rosinia and Giovannia.

She will be endlessly missed by her children: sons - Mark Alan (Marian), Richard Michael Jr., (Judy), James David (Elizabeth) and her daughter - Carla Yvonne (John). Her greatest joy and many blessings on this earth were her grandchildren: Greg, Jordan, Brian, Madeline and Makena. She leaves behind many special nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

Our momma was a kind and giving soul. She acquired many friends wherever she ventured. At every occasion she would welcome you into her home for conversation and friendship. She was deeply grateful and thankful for her many lady friends. They were her angels.

Momma loved her faith, enjoyed every day in her home, playing cards, going shopping, winning at gambling, (losing not so much), visiting and going to lunch with her friends, and especially loved her games, and watching her game shows.

We will truly miss her laughter, her smile, her joyful and youthful spirit, and we will also miss her famous and astonishing stuffed shells, her wonderful spaghetti, her legendary spinach and sausage balls. She made every holiday special for her family. She was our rock, our lighthouse, our bright star, our guiding light, and our anchor.

Rest in paradise and blessed journey to the land of beautiful souls our most precious momma, let angels guide and light your way. We hope your extraordinary voice is singing in the Heavenly Choir. Momma will always be deeply loved and forever missed. Until we see you again, endlessly sending hugs and kisses to you and our wonderful dad

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am Friday in St. Francis of Assisi Church 3609 Washington Avenue Finleyville.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Kegel Funeral Home, Inc., Finleyville
