Mildred Shearer

Mildred June Shearer, known affectionately as Mil, passed away surrounded by loved ones on June 24, 2024, at the age of 91, in New Eagle, PA. Born on June 18, 1933, in Monongahela, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Anna (Mehrman) DeVore.  Preceded in death by her husband, Robert Shearer, and her siblings: Edith, Catherine, Jim, and Kenneth (Doc).

Mil was a loving wife. She cherished her husband's memory and often shared heartwarming stories of their life together. She loved her home in Venetia, PA and spent many days sitting on her front porch.  Mil attended Nottingham Christian Center.

Mil was an honorary member of the Mayak family, where she enjoyed playful interactions with the children and family dogs. Known for her sweet tooth and her playful spirit, Mil's presence brought joy and laughter to those around her.

A private service will be held to honor Mil's life and legacy. Kegel Funeral Home in Finleyville, PA, is assisting the family during this time.
