Nancy J Charnovich (Piel) of Finleyville, died April 14, 2025, at The Grand Residence in Upper St. Clair.
She was born March 23, 1933, daughter of the late Harry and Molly Piel. She was married to her High-School sweetheart and best friend, the late John Charnovich, for 70 years.
Nancy enjoyed working at home and taking care of her family. She prepared delicious meals with the many recipes she collected. And there were many! Fresh air invigorated her, whether working in the yard and garden, or hanging her laundry outside to dry on her clothesline. Over the years she balanced home and various jobs with excellence.
Surviving are son, John (Jane) Charnovich Jr. of Longmont, Colorado; two daughters, Jan (Mike) Kotula of Jefferson, N.C. and Deborah (Wynn) Stevenson of Canonsburg, Pa; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers; Ronald and Gerald Piel.
Friends will be received from 5-8pm Monday in Kegel Funeral Home Inc., David P. Kegel, Supervisor, 3560 Washington Avenue, Finleyville. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 12Noon Tuesday in St. Francis of Assisi Church of St. John XXIII Parish, 3609 Washington Avenue, Finleyville. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. John XXIII Parish.
