Richard F. ‘Lefty’ Glinski
Richard F. ‘Lefty’ Glinski, Sr., 82, of Finleyville, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at his home with his family at his side.
He was born July 10, 1934 in Klewain, Poland; a son of Julian and Marcella Skomska Glinski
Mr. Glinski was raised at Holy Family Institute in Emsworth and was a graduate from North Catholic High School in 1953.
He was retired as a foreman with Georgia Pacific Company in Pittsburgh and also had been employed in the maintenance department at Beechview Manor in Pittsburgh.
Mr. Glinski attended St. Francis of Assisi Church in Finleyville and enjoyed baseball, camping and fishing.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Ann Gregory Glinski; a son, Jeffrey Glinski (Kerry) of Bethel Park; a daughter, Karen Bittner (Jimmy) of South Park; two stepdaughters, Sharon Moschell (Gary) of South Strabane and Deborah Hendrick (Joe) of South Fayette Township; a sister, Irene Pearson (Donald) of Brentwood; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
At the request of the deceased there will be no public visitation.
Arrangements are under the direction of Kegel Funeral Home, Inc., Tim P. Kegel, supervisor, David P. Kegel, director, in Finleyville
