Russell Allridge

Russell E. Allridge, 96, of Finleyville, passed away peacefully Thursday October 31, 2024, in Concordia of Bridgeville.

He was born July 14, 1928, in Bellevue, a son of the late Noah and Ida Allridge.

Russ was retired from the former Arcadian Garden’s in Bethel Park, where he worked as the store manager.  He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Finleyville and a 50-year Active Member of the Finleyville Volunteer Fire Department where he held many offices including President and Fire Chief.  His greatest joy in life was spending time with family, friends and working in his yard and with his flowers.  Always quick with the newest joke, his contagious laugh warmed the hearts of all who knew him, including the many who affectionately called him “Uncle Russ”

Surviving are his daughter; Sherry (Tom) Blaskovich of Finleyville, three grandchildren; Tammy (Jason) Merschat, Tiffany (Rich) Bender and David (Amanda) Kegel, three great granddaughters; Diora, Vianna and Anesa, son-in-law; David Kreutzer, daughter-in-law; Denise Kegel and numerous nieces and nephews.

Deceased are his wife; Irene Allridge who died July 4, 2024, one daughter; JoAnn Kreutzer and stepson; Tim Kegel and 13 siblings.

Visitation will be held 6-8pm Monday and 2-4 and 6-8pm Tuesday in Kegel Funeral Home, Inc. David P. Kegel, Supervisor 3560 Washington Avenue Finleyville, where funeral services will begin 11am Wednesday with interment following in Finleyville Cemetery.  Finleyville Vol. Fire Department will conduct services at 7pm Monday.  Memorial donations can be made to either Finleyville Vol. Fire Department 3562 Washington Ave Finleyville, PA 15332 or Go Time Ministries PO Box 52 Finleyville PA, 15332
