Stella Volkar
Stella Volkar, 94, of Finleyville died Tuesday, April 10, 2018.
She was born December 14, 1923 in Melbourne, Australia; a daughter of Harry and Clarice McHutchison Hunter.
Mrs. Volkar was retired as a nursing aide at the former Woodville State Hospital.
She enjoyed line dancing and was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Finleyville and the Australian Women’s Social Club.
Surviving are three sons, Thomas P. Volkar of Donora, Jeffrey Volkar (Cindy) of Venetia, and Bradley Volkar (Marcey) of Monongahela; a daughter, Susan Volkar of Eighty-Four; six grandchildren, Joshua, Benjamin, Leslie, Jessica, Emily and Lindsey; and six great-grandchildren, Kushal, Logan, Eli, Zachary, Archie and Elliott.
Deceased is her husband, Thomas D. Volkar, who died in May of 2007.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Friday at Kegel Funeral Home, Inc., Tim P. Kegel, supervisor, David P. Kegel, director, 3560 Washington Avenue in Finleyville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Saturday April 14, 2018 at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Finleyville. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Carroll Township.
