Stella Jane Barszczowski

Stella Jane Barszczowski, 96, of Finleyville, died peacefully Thursday Feburary1, 2024 in her home.

She was born June 30, 1927 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Francis and Stella Eisenbarth Kruse.

            Stella was retired from the former Sears Service Center in Peters Township where she worked as a Sales Manager.  She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi church in Finleyville since 1956 and belonged to the Christian Mothers group.  She was an avid golfer and bowler who enjoyed traveling, trips to the casino, playing cards and gardening.  Stella’s home was always a welcoming social hub for family and friends.

            Surviving are three daughters; Mary Clair (Simon) Dunningham of Smithfield, Va, Barbara LoCastro of Canonsburg and Joleen Najowicz of Finleyville, daughter-in-law Marilyn Barszczowski (wife of son Peter), eight grandchildren; Katie (Bobby), Jimmy, Jamie (Kathy), Justin, Andrew, Emily, Noah and Rachel and four great-grandchildren; Ava, Arik, Adalynn and Connor,and many nieces and nephews.

            Deceased are her husband Peter J. Barszczowski, three sons; Dr. Peter Jr., Michael and Bruce Barszczowski and siblings; Rosemary Love, Frances Schaner, June Elder, Frank Kruse and Kathleen Erny.

            Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8pm Monday in Kegel Funeral Home, Inc. David P. Kegel, Supervisor 3560 Washington Avenue Finleyville.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am Tuesday in St. Francis of Assisi Church (St. John XXIII Parish) 3609 Washington Avenue Finleyville, with interment following in Jefferson Memorial Park.  Memorial donations can be made to the church at the above address
