Suzan Detig

Suzan Detig, 81, of Venetia, passed away Monday December 23, 2024, in AHN Jefferson Hospital.

She was born June 4, 1943, in New Castle, a daughter of the late Paul and Peg Turco.

Sue was retired from Jefferson Hospital where she worked as a Nurse.  After retirement she continued working in home health care.  She enjoyed bingo, crafts and making Christmas candy.  Sue also volunteered with the Stroke Group at Jefferson Hospital. 

Surviving are her son; Douglas Detig of Venetia, daughter; Kimberly (Curt) Gardner of Wexford, three grandchildren; Conner, Nathan and Ryan Gardner, one brother; Robert (Jeana) Turco, nephews; Paul and Vincent Turco and Mark and David Suchy, one niece; Laura Burkhart and her grand dogs; Snickers and Belle.

Deceased in addition to her parents is her husband Norbert Detig.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8pm Friday in Kegel Funeral Home, Inc. David P. Kegel, Supervisor 3560 Washington Avenue Finleyville, where funeral services will begin at 11am Saturday with interment following in Finleyville Cemetery.  Memorial donations can be made to Finleyville Volunteer Fire Department 3562 Washington Avenue Finleyville, PA 15332
