Ted Dobranski

Ted Dobranski, 69, of Elizabeth, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 15, 2026.

Born on October 4, 1956, in Bangor, Maine, Ted was the beloved son of the late John Dobranski and Darlene Haas.

Ted dedicated many years of his life working at Community Bank in the auto financing department. Outside of work, he found joy in the simple things; woodworking, fishing, and gardening, but nothing meant more to him than the time he spent with his grandchildren, who were truly the light of his life. He loved deeply and fiercely, and that love was felt by everyone lucky enough to know him.

He is lovingly remembered by his children: his son, Ethan Dobranski; and his daughters, Amanda (David) Stone and Melissa (Ryan) McConnell. He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Rayne, Ryan Jr., and Conor. To them, he wasn’t just Pap—he was their “Pappy Teddy Bear,” a name that perfectly captured his warmth, gentleness, and the comfort he brought into their lives.

In addition to his parents, Ted was preceded in death by his stepfather, Alfred Pelkey.

In honoring Ted’s wishes, there will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date, to be announced by the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to an animal charity of your choice, reflecting Ted’s love for animals.
