Theresa C. Thayer

            Theresa C. Thayer, 80, of Finleyville died Saturday, March 31, 2018 in Canonsburg Hospital.

            She was born December 12, 1937 in Clairton; a daughter of Andrew and Mary Faith Butvin.

            Mrs. Thayer was a retired bookkeeper and a member of Ruthfred Lutheran Church in Bethel Park.

            Surviving are her husband, Gary Thayer; a son, Dennis Thayer (Lynn) of Delaware, OH; two daughters, Carol Aurin (Richard) of Venetia and Christine Krofek of Morgantown, WV; two brothers, Andrew Butvin (Sandra) of Gary, IN and Joseph Butvin of Donegal; two sisters, Helen Huss of Lakewood, OH and Pauline Fournier (Elmer) of Elizabeth Township; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

            Deceased is a sister, Maryann Scapellato.

            Friends will be received one hour prior to a funeral service at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 4 at Ruthfred Lutheran Church, 3401 South Park Road, Bethel Park, PA.  15102.

            Private interment will be held in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.

            Memorial contributions can be made to Ruthfred Lutheran Church.
