Thomas “Tom” Karolcik Jr, 68, of Finleyville, passed away unexpectedly Thursday December 19, 2024, at home.
He was born September 20, 1956, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Thomas Karolcik Sr. and Barbara Romzy Karolcik who survives.
Tom was employed as President of the Giant Eagle in Bentleyville. He was a 1978 graduate of Duquesne University and the Gamma Phi Fraternity. He loved his gadgets and his daily readings of the newspaper, Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins and Duquesne Dukes.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife of 40 years Carrie Martin Karolcik, one brother; John (Amanda) Karolcik, one sister; Anna (Tom) Kovalcik, one sister-in-law; Lisa Hollingsworth, five nieces, two nephews, one great-niece, one great-nephew and his three tuxedo fur babies; Mia, Smokey and Bandit.
Visitation will be held from 4-8pm Sunday in Kegel Funeral Home, Inc David P. Kegel, Supervisor 3560 Washington Avenue Finleyville. Funeral Liturgy will be held 10am Monday in St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church 102 Railroad Street in Perryopolis. EVERYONE IS ASKED TO PLEASE GO DIRECTLY TO CHURCH. Interment will follow in St. Nicholas Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
