Virginia Elaine Costello

Virginia Elaine Costello, 82, of Gastonville, passed away Friday April 11, 2025.

She was born January 16, 1943, a daughter of the late Frank and Dorothy Ackman Wilson.

Elaine retired from General Motors where she worked as an administrative assistant.  She was a member of St. Thomas A Becket Church, enjoyed gardening and was a friend to everyone she knew.      

Surviving are her husband Joseph Costello, one stepson; Joseph (Deborah) Costello of Scenery Hill, two stepdaughters; Deborah (Jeffrey) Pennesi of Greensburg and Erin Hochendoner of Brentwood, five grandchildren; Chelsea, Lindsay, Cassidy (Matthew), Tori and Joseph, one great grandson Samuel and a large extended family.

Spending time with her family and taking care of them with great love was her biggest joy in life.

Visitation will be held from 4-8pm Tuesday in Kegel Funeral Home, Inc. David P. Kegel, Supervisor 3560 Washington Avenue Finleyville. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Wednesday in St. Thomas A Becket Church (Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish) 139 Gill Hall Road, Jefferson Hills (EVERYONE IS ASKED TO MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH), with interment following in St. Clare Cemetery, Clairton.  Memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of America.
