William “Bill” Doyak, 85, of Finleyville, died Monday January 8, 2024, at home.
He was born May 24, 1938, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late John and Jean Rozenstangle Doyak.
Bill was retired from the U.S. Bureau of Mines in Bruceton where he worked as a Mining Engineering Technician. He was awarded the Meritorious Service Award from the Department of Interior on December 29, 1989. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and also enjoyed birdwatching and woodworking.
SurvivIng are his wife of 65 years Patricia Caponi Doyak, one son; Michael (Michelle) Doyak of Eighty Four, one daughter; Lynn (David) Matsick of Monongahela, one sister; Elizabeth Diehl of Carnegie, three grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, five great- grandchildren and one step great-grandchild.
Deceased in addition to his parents are his sister Joyce Corbett.
Family and friends are welcome to attend burial services at 11am Thursday January 11, 2024 in Finleyville Cemetery, Venetia.
