William “Bill” Frankel, 93, of Finleyville, passed away Tuesday July 22, 2025, at home.
He was born January 27, 1932, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Harry and Jane Frankel.
Bill retired from the University of Pittsburgh where he worked as a stationery engineer. He was a life member of the Dormont VFW Post 694 and served 25 years with the Dormont Volunteer Fire Department.
Surviving are his wife Linda Brown-Frankel, one son; William Frankel of Belle Vernon, one daughter; Kathy Frankel of West Mifflin, one stepson Adam (Jennifer) Brown of Jeanette, one grandson; Tyler (Corrin) Frankel, one brother; Dale Frankel and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are his first wife Marcella Frankel and brother Paul Frankel.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8pm Monday in Kegel Funeral Home, Inc. David P. Kegel, Supervisor 3560 Washington Avenue Finleyville. A graveside service will begin at 1pm on Tuesday in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Anyone attending is asked to come to the Funeral Home at 12noon.
