William "Bill" Frankel

William “Bill” Frankel, 93, of Finleyville, passed away Tuesday July 22, 2025, at home.

He was born January 27, 1932, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Harry and Jane Frankel.

Bill retired from the University of Pittsburgh where he worked as a stationery engineer.  He was a life member of the Dormont VFW Post 694 and served 25 years with the Dormont Volunteer Fire Department.

Surviving are his wife Linda Brown-Frankel, one son; William Frankel of Belle Vernon, one daughter; Kathy Frankel of West Mifflin, one stepson Adam (Jennifer) Brown of Jeanette, one grandson; Tyler (Corrin) Frankel, one brother; Dale Frankel and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are his first wife Marcella Frankel and brother Paul Frankel.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8pm Monday in Kegel Funeral Home, Inc. David P. Kegel, Supervisor 3560 Washington Avenue Finleyville.  A graveside service will begin at 1pm on Tuesday in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.  Anyone attending is asked to come to the Funeral Home at 12noon.  Memorial donations can be made to the Dormont Volunteer Fire Department 1455 Hillsdale Ave Pittsburgh PA 15216
