George E. Corbin, 98, of Finleyville died Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Southwestern Health Center in West Mifflin.

            He was born March 18, 1916 in Washington; a son of Alexander and Emma Chapman Corbin.

            Mr. Corbin was retired from the maintenance department of the Gastonville Elementary School of Ringgold School District.

            He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Finleyville.

            Surviving are a son, George Corbin, Jr. and his wife Billie of New Eagle; a daughter, Rose Belak of McDonald; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

            Deceased are his wife, Bertha Kozak Corbin, who died in February, 1997, a daughter, Mary Vignoli; a grandson; two brothers and four sisters.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Friday at Kegel Funeral Home, Inc., Tim P. Kegel, supervisor, David P. Kegel, director, 3560 Washington Avenue, Finleyville, where a blessing service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 7, 2015 with Reverend Richard J. Tusky officiating.  Interment will follow in Finleyville Cemetery with full military honors accorded by Mon Valley Honor Guard and Firing Squad.
